Job Summary


The Material Coordinator is an entry level role that will support corporate business development efforts to expand company product portfolio through in-licensing, in-house development, and other methods of acquisition. This position will be responsible for documenting, receiving, and distributing incoming materials to stakeholders within the facility and outside locations and will work in a collaborative environment with other internal departments including Finance, Customer Service, Research and Development, Purchasing, Facilities and Quality Assurance.

Essential Functions

  • Recording documents into database and performing intake processes for incoming materials for the product development pipeline
  • Coordinate with different internal departments to effectively perform material transfers and other internal actions
  • Contact existing suppliers and licensors to determine availability of potential, new products
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Business Development
  • Electronic and physical filing of company contracts, correspondence, and other documents
  • Schedule meetings with existing and new suppliers and licensors via phone and in person

Minimum  Qualifications - Education and Experience 

  • BS in Biology or other biological field
  • Strong conversational and written communication skills
  • Ability to function productively as a team member

Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience

  • 1-2 years in laboratory or business development field
  • Experience maintaining databases containing detailed information and documentation
